Why pick the Cowork class (not Codex)

Mac and PC notes
On macOS the most common failure is the second permission prompt. Cowork asks for folder access once on first launch, then macOS asks again the first time it tries to actually write a file. Miss that second prompt and you get a silent failure that looks like Cowork is broken. We walk it live.
On Windows, SmartScreen and User Account Control are the friction points. Frequently asked questions
I already use Claude in a browser. Do I need Cowork?
Browser Claude only sees what you paste in. Cowork can open the folder, edit a file in place, and save it back with your approval. If you do meaningful document or spreadsheet work, that gap is the whole point.
Do I need a paid Anthropic plan?
Yes. Cowork is not on the free tier. We will help you pick the right Anthropic plan during the session if you do not already have one.
What if I am on a work laptop with restricted permissions?
The install needs admin rights. If your IT team blocks the installer, we will help you write a short request before the next live session so you are not stuck halfway through.
Is the recorded version the same as the live one?
There is no recorded version. These are live one-on-one tutorials with a PointWake guide on screen the whole time. A recording of your own session is shared with you afterward.
What if Cowork still will not run by the end of the live call?
We tell you what is blocking it and what it takes to finish, and you decide whether to book another session or move to a managed engagement. No upsell mid-call.
